Author
Doug Minear started in the electrical trade at thirty years old — no union hall, no five-year apprenticeship, just a boss who handed him an address and said handle it. He earned his education across first-generation solar, high-end design-build homes, commercial tenant improvements, freezer boxes, controls, and thousands of remodels in one of the highest cost-of-living areas in the United States.

He holds a C-10 Electrical Contractor's license and a Stationary Engineer's license with 25 years of field experience. He built his contracting business from the side work outward. He publishes through MinearWorks — trade knowledge without the filler.
